I am a development economist with interests in health and experimental economics. My research deals with impact evaluations of development interventions and health policies; the socio-economic determinants of health and nutrition; as well as the link between economic development and social capital. I am Assistant Professor in Development Economics at the Institute of Social Studies at Erasmus University. I am also on the management team of the Rotterdam Global Health Initiative. I have designed and ran randomized impact evaluations and household surveys in Morocco, the Central African Republic, Cambodia, and Burundi. My work has been published field journals such as the Journal of Health Economics, Demography, Economic Development and Cultural Change, as well as interdisciplinary outlets such as the American Journal of Preventive Medicine or the Journals of Gerontology
