Luc Coffeng MD, PhD (Public Health)

I am an MD and epidemiologist with a strong interest in impact evaluation of infectious disease control programs by means of mathematical modelling and Bayesian statistics. In my current position as Postdoctoral Researcher at Erasmus MC and member of the NTD Modelling Consortium, I am primarily responsible for mathematical modelling of transmission and control of soil-transmitted helminths, and furthermore involved in modelling of onchocerciasis, lymphatic filariasis, schistosomiasis, and visceral leishmaniasis. In addition, I am engaged in research activities in malaria, veterinary pharmacology and immunology, and child health in developing countries.
